so.. what happens when you get a careless nurse that adds more adjuvant than they are supposed to? eeep >_>; and what would happen if you were given an expired dose? i can see a lot of human error causing problems...
A nurse has contacted me and said she nor any of her colleagues will be taken the vaccine. For anonymity reasons she has commented on this video and would like me to add her comments. Which I will do below.

1) She should be wearing gloves when she comes into contact with ANY patient. This is a routine precaution that a nurse would observe. I can almost guarantee that this woman is either an actor or, at best, a lab technician. The reason why I say this is because this video was obviously made not to show proper administrative technique (her's sucks), but rather just to show which vaccine to give.

2) It is common nursing practice to prepare medications for administration. Most medications are mixed with sterile water, 0.9% normal saline solution or D5W. It's simply taking a powdered medication (longer shelf-life) and putting it into suspension for administration. But I've never seen the ingredients that they're using.

3) Your concern for MRSA is well-founded, but let me tell you from sad experience, it is EVERYWHERE. It's on her pen, on the floor, it's on you and it's on me. It's Staph, one of the most common bacterial organisms on the planet, which is why she should be wearing her gloves!

4) At one point they say that you must know which brand you received should follow-up shots be required to kill you off. This is obviously pointing to a difference in the maker's choice of adjutant, since in theory the active component of the vaccine (H1N1) should be the same from one brand to the next. This makes me think that they are putting out different varities so that when people do start dropping like flies they can claim that this TYPE, or this BATCH was the problem, not vaccines et al.
