i work at a sportsbar and every time the wings score a goal in the playoffs everyone gets a free 32oz mug of beer.
I worked during this game and everyone was trashed by the end of the game

its called hockey maybe? its a hit and havlat obviously didnt learn much from the kronwall hit. And when do they ever take out good players? Name one player that they "hit with a cheap shot"? PLease, explain. Wings are a clean team and a good team so just learn to accept it.
First stage- Denial. You can overcome it.

I'm glad someone agrees. Hockey is a game won by scoring the most goals, not getting in the most fights. Getting in the most fights doesn't directly translate into winning games resulting in championships. Fighting doesn't show up on the scoreboard...if it even had a positive impact on the ability to hold a 4 goal lead in the third period, I would have a problem with the Wings not doing it. But since it only seems to have a detrimental impact, I don't see any reason to change anything.

Precisely. This is the attitude the team has taken in the past decade and it has worked extremely well.

1. Anyone who thinks the hit on Havlat last year in the playoffs was dirty, illegal, and/or misconduct-worthy is a complete moron.
2. Anyone who thinks the Red Wings are full of cheap-shot pussies who run away from scrums is also a complete moron.
3. Anyone who thinks the Red Wings suck because they would rather win a playoff game than get into a meaningless fight with Dustin Byfuglien is, you guessed it, a complete moron.
Winning matters most. Most fighting majors =/= championships. Period.

Haha Havlat got hurt by Kronwall

i know thats what im saying. who wants to watch hockey with no fights or scrums? i dont know about you but i like when somebody gets hit and there is a fight after or guys take runs at eachother. its much more fun to watch
-
They hit Havlat because he left himself open to be hit, and hitting people is part of the game.
Legal hits.

The Wings do not have players who lay down dirty hits... and the Wings do not attempt to start fights in response to CLEAN HITS like most teams do.
The Wings have, for the last four seasons, always been last in fighting majors. They have rarely carried an enforcer on the team during that period.
-
that's because they play European puck control hockey. We had 12 fights because no one on the team fights, don't be ignorant. Hopefully now that we have Brad May you'll be a little more satisfied. And the Wings are by far THE LEAST cheap shot team in the league.

your right there is no rule but thats just how hockey is played.
For fans of the Wings I've finished my Wings/Penguins preview which you can find by clicking on my username and then following that to my hockey site (illegalcurve)
