My 55 gallon planted community aquarium

This is my first tank in 8 years. I started it about 8 months ago (found the tank on craigs list for $100). I have: 1 green terror cichlid, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 dinosaur bichir, 1 clown loach, 1 redtailed shark, 1 pleco, 5 tiger barbs, 2 red clawed crabs and 6 kuhli loaches. Most the fish are territorial and not aggresive. I have amazon sword, java fern, micro sword, japenese moss ball, frill, hornwort,a lily plant and red ludwigia growing very well. I use a 48" 50/50 light and a 48" 10000k light bulb. I also use a CO2 difuser (which helps tremendously with plant growth).

are the crabs fully aquatic?

@chachaman50 No they are not. They crawl out of the aquarium with ease. The 2 crabs in my tank disappeared about 6 months after i got them.

man i have almost the same fish as u but the barbs i tried putting some in the tank and the bichir ate them! now I have a question have u gotten any problems with ur bichir eating the other fish in the tank?

@jvucket My bichir has only eaten 2 fish since i got him. They were kuhli loaches so i dont blame him, they look like worms. Other than that, he hasn't done anything to the other fish. My bichir is completely blind, so if the other fish eat his food he smells the food and nips at the fish.

how much watts of lighting you got?

@PrevalentDisease i use 2 Floragrowth flourecent lights 48" each. i dont know the watts though

Those are some big tiger barbs. i never thought they would get that big. mine are tiny like a quarter the size of yours XD. im getting a 55 gallon for christmas. i hope my barbs dont grow fast.
