I've noticed some people object to the word "audism" because they view it as a "crutch" or say it has been abused or that "discrimination" is good enough to explain to people about the issues facing Deaf people. I address these ideas here by exploring the themes of "crutches" and "tools".

  • i asked if I gave you a solution how to stop audism, would you miss making vlogs about audism etc? Would you care if there was a solution or not? If not you would continue making vlogs like what you just did. There is a solution, and audism etc can be stopped! But No?? Not needing the solution? You still don't understand? Interesting... You have a choice.. 1. keep up the vlogs or 2. work on a solution to stop audism and miss making vlogs about audism that is alive and well? Which is better?

  • @Bunjer OK I understand you now. I want to see audism end too. But how do we end audism? No magic "anti-audism bomb". What we need to do is EDUCATE about audism. Educate Hearing, educate Deaf. That is what I am doing. That is PART of the solution. The other PART is when we SEE audism, we make sure people know it is audism, and we work to help make that audistic behavior STOP.

  • You love to make vlogs about oppression, such as audism etc.. There is a way to eradicate such oppression upon Deaf people, you might miss making video uploads when there is no excuse to talk about audism, would you like that?.

  • @Bunjer I don't understand this comment.

  • to everyone.. sheesh, when i attempted post a comment, it wouldnt post and had to redo.. several times but still wont work .. later on, when I had time, I just tried a recent one and then finally all of these comments, popped up.. anyway am stubborn evidently! lets see if DrDonGCUS got my drift in slight variations I made in my comments...

  • @DrDonGCSUS There is a magic "anti-audism bomb", of course. Deaf Minority Rule will end audism. Deaf will elect their own Deaf Represenatives to represent our people, to enact, mandate, revise, propose, amend, repeal, and update laws etc.Could call it a Deaf Congress, or a Deaf Senate for State, and Goverment levels, and even local levels such as the City Council of Deaf people etc. We would know what is best, and what our needs are etc.. Otherwise allow hearing to decide for us?

  • @DrDonGCSUS yep there is a magic "anti-audism bomb" out there waiting for all of us. Deaf Minority Rule, how many times did I mention it in my vlogs and comments? Why don't you want Deaf Represenatives elected by us to enact laws, regulate them, and that would determine our way of life reflecting our Deaf Culture and Langauge. Special Deaf Congressional or Legislative sessions would save us from audism! That would be great, so we could be able to be who we are!

  • @DrDonGCSUS Hello again Don. I did mention a number of times how to stamp, or stop audism literally. Deaf Minority Rule allowing Deaf people to elect their own to represent them in a special congressional or legislative sessions. Designed with Deaf Minority Rule would allow us to regulate, mandate, revise, or bring up motions, and new bills for Deaf America! That will be the answer to stop all forms of audistic behavior! Laws will reflect our Culture and Language, not the hearing culture etc!

  • @DrDonGCSUS i did mention many times on how to end audism etc, but were you paying attention? nope, you kept on making vlogs and complain and forever trying to educate hearing and deaf people about the perils of oppression deaf face everyday. did i mention Deaf Minority Rule? am telling if we had been granted power in our ASL instead of voice, and that we could actually vote for our deaf leaders to be deaf law makers, and we mandate laws, we would finally get what we want and stop oppression!

  • Very well said.. I love it.. Thank you, Don ;)
