ALL MEN have god given rights. This is what this sentence says. One of those rights is a right to fair trial.

Its not our government that gives us our rights every human being has and should be treated as.
Detaining without charges and torturing people is wrong.
They told us WMD were in Iraq and were trying to convince us and found out "oops we were WRONG" now give them a LICENSE to torture people with the same potential to BE WRONG.
To agree would be to condemn an innocent, as Naomi Wolf says, "Theres no government that has tortured others that has not eventually turned on its own citizens"

Seems pretty straight to me. He disagrees but recognizes the decision of the Supreme Court. Of course he's going to tell people why he disagrees. Also, he just wants them moved to another facility. Just because he wants to close Gitmo doesn't means he implying anything about them being freed or the US being wrong in detaining them. They are enemy combatants and should be in prison.

If your a person that tries to blow people up you have no right to protest WHY you are in jail. I would think it would be obvious by the term "enemy combatant".
No one is against a right to a proper trial, I just don't want to hear them complaining about why they are in prison.

The bill allows detainees the right to have their cases heard before Federal court. Of course McCain and all the other neocons will be against it.
