A quick lesson on Three Card Poker.

The Dealer plays with a Queen high where a Queen, 3, 2 is the lowest qualifying hand for the Dealer.

Hands ranked high to low In standard Three Card Poker:

1. Straight Flush (The highest possible hand.)
2. 3 of a Kind
3. Straight
4. Flush (A Straight beats a Flush in Three Card Poker.)
5. Pair
6. High Card

The Player should play a Queen, 6, 4 and better, contrary to the Queen, 10 most people say should be played.

  • you didnt clean hands once, and if you are teaching a class you should have them using 2 hands

  • I'm not going to waste time clearing my hands every time I touch cheques in a classroom environment when the focus of the lesson is understanding the object of a game new to my student and how easy it is to deal.

The video is described as a "quick" lesson, designed to fit within the 10 minutes I have on YouTube.

Clearing my hands was not the focus of this lesson. That issue was covered ad nauseam every day.

I should have my students using two hands? I used two hands through out the video.

  • I love 3 card I stay at the table almost all night just playing no drinks cause if u start drinking you start losing

  • @ILostTobin a flush does not get an ante bonus, straight or better

  • @ILostTobin I have never seen a casino pay an Ante Bonus for a Flush. Usually Ante Bonuses begin with a Straight.

  • Hey! Thanks for the great video! I do have one question though... it regards paying out the Ace high flush hand.

So, I understand that they get even money for the play line, and then I understand why they got money for the pair plus line, but why didn't they get an ante bonus for having a flush? Is a flush just not included in it?

    Thanks,

    Tobin

  • I think its a great video .... i don't know what you all are talking about?!

  • I agree about clearing your hands - why teach it and then not do it? Do it 100% right. I think it's important to integrate it into the other lessons.

    Other than that, great video!

  • Nice video !!make some more :D
