Finding Billy Elliot 1/8

A documentary about the nationwide search for three young actors to share the lead role in Broadway's Billy Elliot the Musical offers viewers an exclusive look at how David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish were chosen to play Billy Elliot after a year-long national talent search that drew thousands of hopefuls from all over the country. Auditions were held in cities across the country and all three of the Broadway Billys, along with twelve other finalists, underwent a grueling ten day callback last summer in New York City during which director Stephen Daldry and choreographer Peter Darling worked with them extensively.

My lil bro auditioned and get down to the very final stage before you go to billy elliot camp but the producer's decided he didn't have the right personality like he was too nice and young and  sweet for the part.... he was 9 at the time

i love the part where its the curtain call at the end and then whoever is Billy (Jacob for me) steps out and it says "Billy" in lights behind him in everyone just stands and claps. probably the best musical i've seen! :D
