It took me far longer to really "get" this record, as compared with other significant RPI albums I love... I partially attribute this to the lamentably flat, muffled recording and mixing of the album (It does not surprise me that they decided to re-record this album in its entirety in the early 90s). A terrible shame, because they were a MAGNIFICENT group, with a unique sound, and 'Darwin' is a particularly strong album in terms of performance and writing.

@ravenscrags this song is coming from second record of this band: "Darwin". All that record speaks about story of mankind, from the beginning to the sense of time passing, across several sensations, as necessity to socialize, the fear, the love. This song, in particular, speak about evolution's theory against the religious idea of the Creation.

Ho avuto la fortuna di vederli dal vivo nel 1973 al parco Ravizza di Milano, in un concerto assolutamente meraviglioso, indimenticabile, emozioni forti, bravi e geniali, ho tutti i loro LP originali e non li vendo...li riascolto sul mio vecchio Technics strobo, ciao

Ho grande rispetto per tutti i grandissimi a cui li avete paragonati.
Ma il Banco aveva davvero qualcosa di speciale da dire. Non è facile mettere in musica un tema come l'evoluzione: lo hanno fatto ed è un capolavoro!
