I totally thought the eye protection was so he could paintball you!
And I couldn't have done that with instructions, let alone blindfolded! lol!

I wasn't meaning to diss it's a Grindhouse quote.

I like that idea. :)

Oh...someone told me that soldiers in Australia do an exercise where they mix the gun parts in with twigs, and bolts from other devices, to make it harder when putting together blindfolded. Might be fun to try this with the paintball gun with some odds and ends, vacuum cleaner tubes, bolts, things like that.

Well, I guess they don't need as much attention to safety as real guns, the "penalty for failure" (to borrow a term from mountain climbers) i.e., accidental discharge, is far lower. lol....

I don't know why, but this whole thing reminded me of a Jedi training session ;-)

How do they "go off unexpectedly"? Do paint ballers keep their finger on the trigger, or do the guns malfunction? Gun guns only go off (despite popular opinion) when the trigger is pulled. (Though some old ones can go off if dropped, but never on their own.) I practice taking my finger off the trigger and resting it on the frame between every shot.

To be honest, I am not sure either as I have never been paintballing (but hope to go soon!) The paintball guns DO have a safety feature, but I suspect many of the people who play paintball do it recreationally, and they forget to push the little safety lever or something of that nature. Because of this, it's pretty common to have a gun go off accidentally, and barrel condoms are required in most fields nowadays. (Or so I am told.)
