  • Not criticizing, just curious. why aren't you using you LP?

  • @ClassicShotMK3 Right after I posted this, I thought the same thing. LOL!! All Neal solos should be played with a Les Paul. I won't make that mistake again. :)

    Yo!

  • @YoBroMan Good thing this was a lesson not a performance then! XD

Also, in ten years gone tuition you did are you sure that it is a D major that follows the A major 7 after the "if you really need somebody" part and not a D major 7?

  • @ClassicShotMK3 It could be, I'm not entirely sure. I really focused on other parts of the song. :)

    Yo!

  • wow really great! good work

  • @duey101 Thank you! You've got a cool channel, great playing, too. I'm only 35-40 miles north of you in OC. :)

    Yo!

  • We are beginning work on a guitar lesson DVD in the style of Neal Schon and will be paying cash for the right lessons!!! This will be for advanced players and MUST be DEADLY accurate slow motion note for note playing of the same or better caliber you see in this video so please be sure you are in this league before you step up to the plate. Contact me through my youtube handle tony11122 with a link to a sample of your ability to play like Neal if you think you have the goods!

  • Nice man!!

  • @KingTabor Neal is a phenomenal player, I basically learned how to play guitar while learning the entire Captured album back in 1980. For him, it's all about note selection and creating something inside of the song. Like the arpeggio at the beginning of Don't Stop Believing, or the guitar melody in Open Arms. I'm not sure there's any rock guitar player who's better at it then he is. Definitely one of my favorites.

    Yo!

  • this is maybe the most melodic solo ever made with a pentatonic. Congrats!
