Boeing 787 Dreamliner - Farnborough 18-07-10

Amateur footage of the Boeing 787 'Dreamliner' arriving in Great Britain for the very first time! This brand new airplane is over 50% composite and also makes extensive use of titanium in its construction, rather than the usual almost-all aluminium construction.

It flew in for a swift 3 day visit for the corporate days of the Farnborough Air SHow, but will be leaving for the USA to resume flight-testing before the doors open to the public.

Apologies in advance for some of the shaky footage - I'm no Steven Spielberg and it was taken on a blustery day on an old Sony Handycam of the tape variety. Also apologies for the inane background ramblings over the taxiing footage - sadly you can't stop loud-mouthed to$$ers standing next to you at these things!!!
