Pharaoh: Mission 1

"A Village is Born" is mission 1 of the original family history campaign, and takes place in Nubt, also known as Naqada. (Predynastic Period: Mission 1) This video is just a quick demo of how I completed the level. I am absolutely certain that it is neither the best nor the fastest way to complete the level. I am just as certain that this method does work, however.

All missions I post were completed on normal mode with no cheats. I have not modified the game or the data files in any way. However, the game is fully updated, including the Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile expansion pack and all updates.

Pharaoh, Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile, and all relevant materials are all copyrighted by Sierra.

On a relevant side note, this was a pain to get a capture of. It took me over an hour to finally configure the capture program properly. It seems that, if I put it at a reasonable frame rate, it would only capture at a fraction of that rate. Not to mention the fact that every few second, the captured video would lag and then jump to the current point, despite the game moving perfectly smoothly. I finally settled on 100fps, among other things, because that was the only way to make it of similar quality to the game. I lowered the frame rate when I converted the video for Youtube, however, so that did make it a more reasonable file size.

@ganit18 Legally speaking, I can't tell you, since it's still under copyright. However, you can find it pretty cheap at amazon, or on Ebay. Just look for the sold out edition.

yea i can imagine that was a pain, video standard would be more like 25-30fps u should record in one of those frame rates. that way the video is compatible with editing programs and players (including youtube)

@3dwardXP Well, the problem wasn't that I couldn't record it at standard FPS. The problem was that if I did, I got so many dropped frames that the capture wasn't worth even trying to keep. I have yet to try it on my new computer, but I'm hoping that I fare better with it.

@KptHero ja und der verdammte install shield klappt net weil die drecks cd nich anlaeuft.. ich könnte KOTZEN. 3 x hab ichs mir gekauft (über die jahre..hab sogar das original handbuch^^ und den soundtrack) und dann geht der mist net -.-

klick auf install..und dann nix mehr.. kompatibilität so oder so..es geht einfach nicht. ich will das die das zum downloaden anbieten..scheisse nochma..drecks windows 7.
