yea GeneralAjaxus i know its stupid but i was seen a strange thing in a Sonhen sector i dont Remember its namu but that was a fucking death star wtf ?? that was a floating bal it was named unknow and it was surrounded with a shield i tryed to get closer but Sonhen ships didint given me a chance wtf was that?? did anyone know ?

@kipax2 That "death star" is called the Dyson Sphere, which is in the Xtended Mod. There is a whole series of missions that have to do with it, but I don't know anything about it.

@76Primm cont. You can pirate as well and basically do whatever takes your fancy if you have the credits or a powerful enough ship. Also, the universe is fucking huge and fucking beautiful.

Fuck me that was a novel and a half. tl;dr: it starts slow but is rewarding and you can use scripting from the community to easily make it more fun, more quickly.

@76Primm cont. at the start, but there is enjoyment to be had if you're patient, it's very rewarding to watch your money grow and watch the progress of your trading fleet after you've put in the effort to grow it. If you're more of an action fan, which I definitely am, you can use scripts to give yourself huge sums of money, or just spawn in fleets of cap ships for a massive battle between you and whoever else, and those can be incredible to participate in, or just to watch from a distance.

@76Primm cont. X3 is not an online game (though I dearly wish it were), I don't remember the exact number of ship varieties, but there are quite a few for each race and there are 5 races iirc. This game is mostly not about combat, the primary focus is on building a space trading empire (you start off with 1 ship and have to run basic courier missions till you can afford a freighter then you can do hauling missions until you can save up to buy a factory space station and so on. It's very slow

@76Primm There is no character customisation at all, and the most you can customize your ships is by buying performance upgrades and better weapons and shields etc, no appearance modification in the stock game, although if you look around on the net and the game's dedicated forum, there're guides to using scripts to change what you can have. You can import community made ship models to fly around in if you want to, and there are plenty of options out there. Strong community support for X3.

This game still didn't impressed me , worst gameplay ever! ( I'm not talking about this video btw) ;)

There's no impressive storyline not to say "crap" and it should be little more arcade ,imo. But still, it has a beautifull deep space visions and some cool spaceships For Eve lovers perhaps a good option even so. For Freelancer worshipers...just keep waiting for a good tittle...

I have a few questions about this game, how much customization is their character and ship wise. can you go where ever and do what ever you want. is it online like EVE. how many ship types, and upgrades are their. and the last thing is, is the whole game just combat or can you mine, salvage, steel, that kind of thing. please respond. thanks.
