"Cantate Domino" - 2009 Texas All-State Mixed Choir Rehearsal

The choir sings Cantate Domino from Dorchester Canticles, composed by Tarik O'Regan. I loved seeing all of the individual expression and intensity from each of these 224 amazingly talented students. This was the final run-thru of the piece. The actual concert that night was performed with organ, harp and percussion with members of the University of Texas at Austin symphony orchestra. this is a really good version of cantate domino....although....the soprano part is a bit irritating...not the voices...just the way it was composed.

I got to women's choir for region..and I was three away from adancing to prearea. I would love to have the oppurtunity one year to sing in a choir like this. Three years to keep trying!! Sounds beautiful.

I miss everybody in this choir! I had to learn all the music over again cuz my voice went from bass 2 to tenor 1 lol. talk about weird haha :D

I wish I could have made this choir last year but my voice dropped from tenor 1 to bass 2 last year before pre area. This was my favorite song too. :( Oh well I got 2nd chair this year bass 2. :)

It sounds brutally difficult. Good job. I once lost making State by 1/10th of one point. It was probably one of the worst days of my life. But, I made first the next year.
