  • Dig it!

A triple shot from the One-Armed Bandit.

Too bad you didn't have any live footage of your Otto-Molarra firing.

  • Good stuff. MK-92 Mod 6 tech right here! Its good to see just how versatile our system used to be prior to the removal of the launchers.

  • FC which is Fire Controlmen in the US Navy. We are the people who really push the fire button on the weapons after the order is given to fire. We control the Fire Power of the ships weapons. part of our of our duties is to repair the radars that guide those weapons we fire to the target. So yes we handle all kinds of weapons and we work on electronics.

  • @thebray3 Sure. I am currently in FC A school. You first have to go through Boot Camp ~2 months. Then you go to ATT which is a basic electronic course for about 2 1/2 months. After that you go to FC A which is around 4 months long. Then you go to your designated C School. C School lengths vary from as low I believe as 2 months to another full year of schooling.

  • you were an FC right? this is what FC's do?

  • Was wondering if anyone could tell me about how long the schools for et and fc are? Iam in dep for aecf and was trying to figure out how long i am gonna be in school for.

  • @Tncx3 The TAO was probably shitting his pants at that point. Dual mode? I don't remember that when I was a WCO. We shot one at a time.

  • Launcher assigned is based on the salvo doctrime selected by the WCO. Dual was selected and the WCP goes into a shoot-shoot-look loading and assignment. The third launcher assignment is held for the WCC operator to make an evaluation of the first two missiles and hits the survive or kill button. If they had hit the survive button just after the third missile was launched the launcher would have been assigned at that point.

  • The question about the time delay for salvo 3, when the WCO selects dual salvo the system will auto load three times and auto assign twice. The third launcher assignment is based on the WCC operator evaluating the first salvo and either determining a survive or kill. A kill will drop the engagement while a survive will assign the launcher a third time. So the delay was the WCC operator.

If the launcher guys had more then three cells unduded a fourth missile would have been loaded.

    Shoot-shoo
