Ah... those are units of beauty. The three main units I have right now are the RH1, the NH1, and the NH3D. I really wish I had the EH1; that unit is just gorgeous. But I don't, so my NH3D will have to be my main player for now. Still, one of these days.

I also noticed you label your minidiscs the same way I do. :P The front of them tend to look too good to put a label on.

i have the RH1, an elegant one but you need to be careful for it is kinda sensitive...cheers! Your video could be more interesting if you've compared battery sizes...

When uploading ATRAC 1 files (Stereo and Mono SP) to your computer what is it's file extension? I've seen many file extensions associated with ATRAC 1, 3, or 3-Plus, but I don't know which is which. I'm not interested in the last two, just ATRAC 1. Thanks!

What's the difference ? Your iPod plays music. My MZ-RH1 records using PCM (no compression. NONE... full CD quality recording) from analogic sources, optical sources (yeap. that means fully optic and numeric from the player to my Mini Disc). And I can move files digitally from Mini Disc to PC with NO copy restrictions. None. Small hand fitting universal recorder with no compression when recording. Now, look at your Ipod. Does it record without compression ? Including digitally with optical in ?

@onlywhenprovoked Black one is metal on the majority of the case, only uses plastic on the side with the display, controls can be touchy on RH1's however.

aesthetically i like the steel cigarette case look, but the display on the black one is pretty nice. it is plastic or metal?

so true. yes, they started out in the very early 90's as HDDs. Look at the accidental truth in the 1st matrix movie. Neo is holding a HDD. Of course, at that time they were already a popular music device. I miss them already. They were superior.
