What happens when a video producer, a writer, and the guy responsible for creating "Men in Black" get together with a camera and a bunch of toys? What would a bad local cable commercial for Watto's Junkyard look like? Probably not "Crazy Watto", which spans the Star Wars galaxy (and others), but that's what we came up with...
This behind-the-scenes look at "Crazy Watto" was done mainly because we had so much fun making the thing - in Lowell Cunningham's driveway, of all places. While "Crazy Watto" was made in 2000, it took on a life of its own later on the internet. It was a popular download from TheForce.Net, and Atomfilms asked if they could have it for the 2003 Official Star Wars Fanfilm Awards. It didn't win anything - we had "The Jedi Hunter" take care of that for us - but "Crazy Watto" did something nothing else of ours has done yet. It played at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival along with nine other fanfilms to promote the premiere of "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith"!
