He could've been out in 120 days in a plea bargain, but he refused because, as he told lifelong friend and band partner Jimmy Gonzalez, "I didn't do it." Research the trial and appeals, and read his interview by Billboard writer Ramiro Burr. Why are so many people so ready to believe the worst of him? Have they no loyalty to him, after his over 40 years in music?

@ChristinePadillaELA Ojala que sea verdad! Note the prosecution's wording, "his DNA was found on her shorts"...they didn't say semen, just DNA, as would be on clothing of anyone sharing a household. Also the "victim" was a troubled teen brought to stay with Joe and his wife (the girl's father came too) and is thought to have made up the story so she could go back to live with her mom. Joe turned down a chance to plead guilty to reduced charges and serve much less time.
