  • great video! but i gotta ask why use a external editor when it will do the exact same things in the audo tracks and drag those over onto the main screen ?

  • Allthough I don't do this here, I normally grab all the hihat type hits (open/close/pedal/etc..) in one sample and then slice it in an external editor.

    An external editor also gives you finer control when slicing (start and end of samples). It's not a must, but I prefer it.

  • Depends on what you mean by "it". If you mean the created drumrack, then no. Drumracks are specific to Ableton Live, they are not VST's.

    You can export the Drumrack and import it on another computer/laptop (into Ableton Live) if needed.

    Depends if the program you are loading it into support VST's.

    In general all VST's work in all programs that use VST's.
