The pornography tour ends in confusion on June 11-1982 at Brussels in Belgium. In this tour the public witnessing a chaotic reminder: The last song of this show, 'the cure are dead', was an improvisation with Robert Smith on drums, Lol Tolhurst on bass, Simon Gallup on guitar and Gary Biddles, a Simon's friend, on vocal, whos criticizing Smith and Tolhurst. Following the concert, Simon Gallup left the group. Robert Smith does not talk before eighteen months.

Robert Smith: "Before the concert, Lol and I sat in the dressing room, miserable because we knew it was the end. The show was quite flat and, during the encore, Biddles came on and started singing 'Smith's a wanker, Tolhurst's a wanker, only Simon's worth anything in this band'. I was drumming, so I stopped, threw the drumsticks at the back of his head and told him to fuck off. Everyone looked at each other... and that was it."

  • and robert smith loves you!

  • wheres the abuse bit?

  • what does it mean?

  • i mean where does robert throw his sticks and gary say that stuff?

  • it's a good question! maybe befor, maybe after. I've find the citation of R.Smith on internet, maybe that this citation is not truth! But this song is real...i mean, it's the last song of the pornography tour in brussel.

  • Why did you pick this picture of all pictures?

  • How tragic....but so glad they are still here!

  • Gary is a wanker.

  • I believe they went into playing "Forever" and it was their intentions to play it all the way through... But of course unexceptionally ended up with "The Cure are Dead" (named by fans after the matter). "Forever" with a horrifying twist. Then there were two. Simon and Gary became "Fools Dance" along with Matthieu Hartley from The Cure shortly after this.

  • ALLWAYS THE BEST.......LOVE IT!!!!!
