SIG Somethin Extra Maiden Flight

The Sig Somethin Extra is a KIT Plane from SIG manufacturing this plane was given to me partially completed after recovering the plane and making a few minor repairs to the plane it was time for a test flight.
The plane has a Saito FA 80 4 stroke engine on it with a 13X6 prop witch will be changed to a 14X4 prop. The CG was a Bit to far foward but the plane did fly, was a bit squirrly So a CG adjustment will have to be made.
But it does fly and that is what this flight was about mostly trimming of up elevator since it is nose heavy. And triming of the ailerons it really wanted to bank hard. the plane has a tendency to want to Tip stall for some reason on slowing down the tip of the wings looses lift so ya have to keep the speed up on this one.
The tail flight Surfaces are from a different 3D plane and are not the one desighned for this model but give the model more of a 3D feel and quicker reaction in manuvers.
A few minor adjustment and it should be a great flying plane.

Beautiful landing considering the CG was out!

@carlosthecactus Yea the CG is an inch foward of what it should be so its nose heavy not to hard to land plus the wind helped some. :-)

nose heavy is better than dead level most planes will fly tail heavy at that cg setting. remember a nose plane fly's well a tail heavy plane fly's once.
