So what is it now? er. When people use to fishing for wild salmon to make a living, "Enviro People" said over fishing. No more taking from the ocean. Alright. So now people breed their own fish to avoid taking the wild ones. Now they said its killing the wild ones. What kind of BULL SHIT are they talking about. Its like kind of slapping themselves in the face. Ho Hum.

You obviously don't know Billy. He has a deep respect and understanding of the natural system and has been working on a volunteer basis relentlessly to help protect wild salmon stocks and restore damaged systems. Yes the commercial fishery has been mismanaged by DFO. This could be corrected if our government agency in charge of protecting wild stocks wasn't in fact working for the economic interests of the day.

schmarly2007 Seems you have not heard of Alexandra Morton or Prof. Daniel Pauly, Univ British Columbia, Vancouver. These experts agree that BC, Canada, Fish Farming and Fish Farming as practiced at the present time in many parts of the World should be abolished. The evidence is quite clear.
Agreed that Wild Salmon had been over-fished for decades. My husband was a Commercial Salmon Fisherman in Alaska 40 yrs ago, so I know Historically more about Salmon

Billy Proctor says it all. Please do away with fish farms in the Salmon migratory areas. The future of Wild Salmon seems doomed. How insane is it to allow this industry to destroy the best "natural product" in the world! Out with the fish farms now!!

Ms Morton's comment about a farmer placing his cattle herd with a herd of buffalo is absolutely ridiculous. Sorry dear I grew up on a farm that raised baby beef, veal and pigs along with chickens. Funny my father never had to worry about swine flu or avian flu or any disease other than tb for which his cattle were tested by the government on regular intervals. her claims are getting more and more outrageous. Terriozz - Bill Proctor made a living killing fish. It's because of guys like him that salmon farming began. Now the old fisherman are mad cause they can't rape the ocean for 3 weeks and then go on vacation for 6 months in Mexico. Don't believe everything you hear - unless, ofcourse, that what you only want to hear.
