What size tank you gave it on ??? I'm thinking about getting one.

Does this make much noise considered setting up as a hang-on ? I am thinking about buying one but my aquarium is in my bedroom.

I have the same skimmer, it produces skimmate but overflows the collection cup with water everyday. Does anyone with this skimmer have the same problem?

Maybe you can help. We are new to saltwater, and we just purchased a coralife 65G. We are doing a hang-on application and we're not quite sure if we have everything set up properly. The bubbles are overflowing the cone. It says in the info packet that they need to only be an inch or so from the bottom of the cone. When we adjust the valve water with no bubbles rushes into the cup.

If this is a new tank setup the 1st thing you need to do with this skimmer is set it to where the small bubles are right on the entrance of the cone. Almost imidietly you will notice the foam rising slowly and it should be dry foam (Hopefully). This is the break in period. When the break in period is done you will notice that it will stop foaming, at this poind you will need to setup the small bubles about 1" - 3" inches above the cone entrance. Monitor the skimmer carefully through out the days

I have the same skimmer but i can't get the bubble's to go all the way up to the top and into the cup like yours... How long did it take for you to get all those micro bubbles to form??

If the water looks clear, and your fishes look healthy, then you don't need to be worried about a skimmer. Water changes should be sufficient.
