Got a lovely fair isle sweater, but don't feel like weaving in all those ends? Kerin shows you a clever way to quickly finish off your sweater by braiding your yarn ends!
@719corkie The sweater is just something our designer, Kerin, made up - I'll pass along the compliments to her! To make a custom fair isle sweater for yourself, I would start with some books on fair isle motifs and designs, Charts for Fair Isle Knitting by Alice Starmore is a wonderful resource.
That's really clever! But when you get to the bottom or the end of the fabric, do you just knot the ends together? What happens when they're all braided and you're left with just a few ends?
@moondog1997 Yes - that is all you have to do! After you get to the end of your yarn strands, all you have to do is finish it off by tying all the strands together in a knot and trim the ends.
What sweater pattern is that? I love the colors for it too!
