this video is totally awesome !!! bravo!!! i saw bruford give a seminar about a month ago promoting his new book (autobiography), the lecture was a mixture of videos from his career as well as him speaking on various concepts such as improv, playing in a group, tone colors, tambre, ---very informative for any musician, not just drummers-----

Very nice and informative. You seem a real fan of Five G, lol. It would have been nice to have a better cross section of his music as well. With that said I will get off my A## and make my own Bruford montage.

@Malzarin Thank you for your comment. The choice of music was really hard. I did not want too many snippets of tracks as it never really works. I am a fan of all Bruford music and Five G just seemed to fit the discography. It was also a good excuse to air the astonishing Jeff Berlin and the breathless guitar of Allan Holdsworth (his solo on Five G moves me:-) It is really good to get feedback and I am pleased you enjoyed the film.

quite nice to see how few of those I didn't have at one point or other! There were only a couple I didn't know about, but they're mainly KC live reissue things.
Really nice collage, Shirley :-) tho' they're not discs, Bruford and the Beat video appeared in 1982, When in doubt Roll in 1986, and the autobiog in 2009.. that's if you wanted to redo the visuals, but there's no need to, it works really well as it is!

Hi Duncan
Thank you for your comments, I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. My intention was make a discography of albums rather than include the many videos and books available. Perhaps I will look to see how many there are as there may be a seperate video there if I include Yes, Crimson etc. but I am not sure if I would call it a visual bibliography or a visual DVDography:-) I really enjoyed making this video though and it is brilliant to get some feedback. Thank you.

Great work ! I really like the fact that you used very different tracks for the background, showing the span of his work.
I spotted some minor mistkaes :
- THRAK was released in 1995, 1 year later than VROOOM
- BLUE was released in 1999 and BLUE Nights in 2000 (or 98 and 99, both are seen on the net, but definitely in that order).

Thank you for your kind comments and the critique of the release dates.
It is not always clear when an album was released for the first time as many web sites quote re-release dates or are not accurate. Unfortunately I am unable to correct a video once it is uploaded.
regards
Shirley
