So like what is the 'point' or 'benefit' of a dominican blow out is it like having ur hair flatironed but instead u use a blowdryer ? is the idea that u get better or similar results and its just that u don't get as much damage from the heat?..... im from the uk, and i haven't heard much about this so cud someone please help me out lolol ???

@howcanyoudothistome1 The benefit is that you can achieve a straight style with bounce and body. Flat ironed hair is pin straight and doesn't usually move as well. There is also less heat damage. Using the blowdryer at your roots can be omitted. Blowdrying the roots is only helpful if you are more than 6-8 weeks post relaxer in order to tame new growth.

Why do black woman need bone straight hair. I am a 17 yr old black male. I am getting tired of this "gorgeous" bull. Your hair is beautiful whether its naturally curly or straight, or "nappy". Just let your real hair show. If you truly have confidence, let your hair show. Fuck White American society. If you know your beautiful, then dont let your hair define you. I love woman, making your hair straight aint make me want you, I like girls with confidence a real swag, not just clothes.

@alraines Oh yeah, I subbed you because you're technique is similar to the Dominicans (my dad is Dominican)..you love God just like me, and we use the same products **Chi & Bio-silk** I also purchased some hair products from St. Thomas the last time I was there and they make your hair grow uncontrolably fast!! Dominican products that contain Garlic are great as well :)

@alraines This is correct. I'm from NY and the Dominicans are Pro's, now I live in Virginia. Virginia salons are not the same as I can tell thus far. I rather learn to do my own hair, than allow them to damage it with what they call a "blow out"; which still requires a flat iron. I am so scared of damage from the flat iron. My hair is too long. I would like to see how it looks on natural hair and how long it would last. I am natural & interested in getting this done, but my only reservation is that it won't last very long with humidity etc. My hair is very thick & coarse.....
