MARGARET centers on a 17-year-old New York City high-school student who feels certain that she inadvertently played a role in a traffic accident that has claimed a woman's life. In her attempts to set things right she meets with opposition at every step. Torn apart with frustration, she begins emotionally brutalizing her family, her friends, her teachers, and most of all, herself. She has been confronted quite unexpectedly with a basic truth: that her youthful ideals are on a collision course against the realities and compromises of the adult world.

Margaret, are you grieving Over Goldengrove unleaving? Leaves, like the things of man, you With your fresh thoughts care for, can you? Ah! as the heart grows older It will come to such sights colder By and by, nor spare a sigh Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie And yet you will weep and know why. Now no matter, child, the name Sorrow's springs are the same. Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed What heart heard of, ghost guessed It is the blight man was born for, It is Margaret you mourn for.

exactly what I expected from a n.y. jew and his sick out look on life . Margaret is a jap in himmie town and shows it well in her one sided ways. wanting the bus driver to take full responsibility for both their mistake. how they treated the boy friend before and after his death and her fellow class mate. (probably a Palestinian with a right to be herd, but not for a cohen. and her crying at the end was probably because the dead boy friend left them bad seats.

no she was part at fault in the street running right next to the bus doesn't matter who it was it would distract the driver . and she is so self righteous that she wanted him to lose his job or go to jail ,what about her. did she ever say I deserve to be punished for my part in the accident .I think the movie is about her being a fucking bitch along with her jew mother and friend. using the tickets of her still warm boy friend. n.y. scum. I'm familiar with them

I think he was driving, he could have ignored her. He is trained not to be distracted by even the passengers and he is aware of his responsibility. So, eyes on the road, very basic. If any cute girl on the street can distract you, you are definitely not fit to drive passengers.
