  • Android is going to take over the world and will be the end-all of the I-phone! HAhahahahah

  • nope, get your facts straight.

WebKit is developed by open source developers,

and just like any other thing that Apple finds to work for them they take it and then sell it to you in a nice flashy package. Examples: WebKit --> Safari, BSD-->OSX , ZeroConf -->Bonjour, the list goes on. Apple open sources and contributes certain stuff, but only because GPL rules are if you get something from open source, you have to give back the code to the codebase. Otheriwise Apple doesnt share shit with others.

  • lol,and why is Android is considered the most "closed open source OS available" also my droid isn't compatible with Adobe Flash at all.what gives?is Flash on the way out like I've heard?

  • nice video, thanks for sub

  • Good Job Bro <3

  • TOP I like this video

  • Wow Android also focuses on Open Source projects.

  • @cdnml: When you're having to root a phone in order to gain full advantage of the OS, Android isn't at fault. The manufacturers and the service providers are the ones locking the phone down. Android's allowing anyone to do whatever they want, which is being exploited by manufacturers to lock phones down. Rather than having to develop the phone's entire OS as they did before, they can now decide what they want the user to be able to do and lock down everything else. (Example: tethering)

  • how can android be open source ?

it is open-source for OEMs but when user gets hand on the device , they have to root it and its same with iphone (jailbreak it) or symbian (hack)

what does open-source give to consumer ? am i missing a point ? (just forget about flash and other stuff) open-source / closed-source will be same in consumer-hands .

so how can android give advantage to consumer when consumer need to root the device just like jailbreaking the iphone or hacking windows7

  • @mphello Haha right....

  • Open source = worthless garbage. Open source software has never worked on any computer anywhere for anyone.
