People Change and Promises are Broken Ch. 52

Denise: Nicholas!! (runs over to the stretcher)
Nick: (weakly smiles) Hey mom.
Paul: How are you?
Nick: Not the best.
Doctor: He should be fine, but I think his wrist is broken, he might have a concussion, and his shoulder could be out of place.
Denise: (kisses Nick's forhead) What are you going to do now?
Doctor: We'll take and x-ray of his wrist, a catscan of his head, and we'll check out his shoulder. We'll also check anywhere else he is hurting.
Paul: How long should this all take?
Doctor: Well, it depends on what machines are being used at the time, but at the most, a few hours.
Denise: Can we stay with him?
Doctor: I'm afraid not. But you can check in on him inbetween checks. I'll have a nurse come get you when you can.
Paul: Thank you.
Doctor: (starts taking Nick down a hall)
Police Officer: (running in the entrance) Wait!!
Doctor: (stops, looking confused)
Police Officer: (runs over to Nick with April in his arms)
April: Thanks for the ride.
Police Officer: (puts April down) No problem.
April: (leans over Nick) Hey.
Nick: Hi, how's the weather up there?
April: (laughs) Not bad. How's it down there?
Nick: Kinda painful, but not too terrible. (smiles)
April: (lets a tear fall) I guess I'll see you later.
Nick: I'll be fine. (wipes away the tear)
April: (sniffles and laughs) Bye.
Doctor: (taking him down a hall)
Nick: Peace out.
April: Peace back in.
Nick: (lightly laughing)
Denise: (hugs April) You alright?
April: (nodding)
Denise: (smiles at April) Thank you.
April: For what?
Denise: Being there for Nick. I don't know how he would be without you here.
April: (sniffles) It's all in a day's work.
Denise: Well, I'm hoping this is for a lot longer than a day. (walks hand in hand with Paul to take a walk)
Kevin: (runs in) Is he okay?
April: Yeah, he's being taken care of.
Liz: (runs to April) What's wrong with him?
April: They think that he has a broken wrist, concussion, and his shoulder might be out of place.
Kevin: Wow, we sure are having some bad luck.
Liz: What if he can't play guitar, drums, or piano when you guys go back on tour?
Kevin: That's not a huge deal. Joe can play piano, Jack can play drums, but we would have to find another guitar player.
April: You know, Kelly can play guitar.
Liz: But she has a broken arm.
April: It would be healed by the time you guys go back.
Kevin: So wouldn't Nick's wrist be healed?
April: I don't know. I was just saying...(smiles)
Kevin: I'll keep her in mind, but I won't know until we find out about Nick. It might not be too serious.
Liz: (snuggles into Kevin's chest and yawns)
April: (laughs) What's with everyone snuggling up with everyone else lately?
Kevin: Jealous much?
April: (blushes) No.
Kevin: Did you guys kiss again when I wasn't there?
Kelly: YOU KISSED NICK!! (screams and hugs April)
April: (puts her hand over Kelly's mouth) Shut up!!
Joe: I knew it would happen soon!
Kevin: It was a bet.
Kelly: (jumping up and down) What kind of bet!!
April: Kevin bet me that I couldn't find his pills in Liz's never-ending purse, but I couldn't find it in time, so I lost the bet and had to kiss Nick.
Kelly: Had to? Please, you wanted to!
Liz: You did, April. Admit it!
April: Fine, maybe a little, but I barely even know him, and that was my first kiss. (blushes and looks down at her feet)
Kevin: Seriously?
Joe: Wow.
April: Yeah.
Kelly: Feel anything special?
April: Are we really talking about this?
Kelly: You left me at the kissing booth to kiss a bunch of dorks all day, and we are talking about this! (drags April to the bathroom)
April: Okay, so I felt a lot of sparks.
Kelly: (shrieks) I knew it! I knew you two were perfect for each other!
April: Shh! Please just be quiet about this.
Kelly: Fine, but only if you will shove Joe in the pool tomorrow at Lianne's party.
April: Deal. (walks out of the bathroom followed by Kelly)
Joe: (rushing past them) Get to the elevator!
Kelly: What's going on?
Kevin: (running by with Liz) POPARAZZI!!!
April: (looks and sees the poparizzi running into the hospital and screams) Come on, Kelly! (drags her to the elevator and...

ha. We get chapters??? You're gonna make me feel like it's my birthday instead. lol. and....i don't know..But at least Nick is finally being taken care of. I'm getting tired of writing a comment that says, gosh, i hope Nick would just get better all ready. lol. But now i can go yay! Nick's at the hospital and being checked on so we'll know if he's fine or not! okay..i'm done now. Happy Birthday! now i'm done.
