  • All those thousands of floppy disks you see now fit on a $5 USB Memory Key.... with space to spare!

  • What computer would I rather take home????

Neither. I would go out and buy a Commodore 64 for alot less.

  • @Problem7Network technically it was originally a business machine but its great graphics and sounds made it a great games machine

  • to be honest I'd rather the Jounior

  • They where throwing shit to others like chimpanzees since that time?

  • @slugnbozo ibm PC jounior.......

  • @potsy5656 The commodore 64 was a computer for only games.

  • I remember the frustration of changing floppies and slow screen refresh rates.

I desperately wished for computers that are 100x, 200x, 1000x faster and much more memory.

I really didn't expect for it to happen in my life time, especially on a laptop.

  • The Apple here is not a Mac. The IBM here is not a PC. So your Mac vs PC arguments don't belong here.

Not sure what your 'remedy' is supposed to accomplish. The IIc is more or less complete with extra floppy drive, greenscale monitor and mouse - btw the 128k mac mouse works on this compy - along with a box of software floppies - wish I had Oregon Trail so I could die of disentary with style.

PCjr has a disk drive and 640k RAM 'sidecar' and an optical mouse that uses a reflective pad with little square dots printed on it. Has improved - not the chiclet - keyboard but no programs.

  • @Karinesipad

Yep! PC Jr's are heavy and have poor specs plus various glitches, so they're usually worth less than the shipping cost! No reason to take one over a turbo XT clone, IMHO.
