@LeeCamp2 The federal money to clean up Joplin is almost gone so most of the companies are moving on to the floods in North Dakota. Meanwhile Joplin is possibly 33% cleaned up and 0% rebuilt. I always wondered why New Orleans STILL wasn't rebuilt but I totally understand now.

@LeeCamp2 - hey Lee, I have actually been working on a concept for an alternative economic paradigm, and using a bunch of projects as a way to fund its gradual development... i want to write so that anyone can get the concept, but i think sometimes i am so wrapped up in it that i dont allow for other people's communication styles... i'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it... and anyone else's... i'll put a link in my youtube profile (i cant post links here in comments can i?)

I live in Joplin MO, site of one the biggest tornadoes in American history. Before the storm I was living check to check. For the last 4 weeks I've worked for a disaster clean up company and made more money in a month than I did the previous 6 months. It's really weird to benefit from such a tragedy but apparently there is an entire disaster sub economy I knew nothing about beforehand. This is a strange country we have.
