Ps3 CPU is MUCH better than 360 game devs are to lazy to "use it all". The only games that almost use 3/4 of it is kilzone 3 uncharted 2&3 which means ps3 hasn't met its limit while 360 (with is xenon CPU) has met it's limit (gears of war and halo)
Don't forget that and most of ps3's games are ports so again it's CPU is just waiting to be put to its limits. Check out jon4lakers video on ps3 vs 360... And yes pc is better... Overall

@beatalls Consoles also have operating systems.

why do you morons do these comparisons? what is the point? of cource a PC is better than a console cause you upgrade it over the years, spend money on RAM , CPU's Graphics cards , Bigger hard drives and so on... but a console is cheap, and it gives you at least 8 years of good gaming. Its pointless cause they're two different things. I prefer a console just because I'm sick of standing on a chair and upgrading my pc, and hackers, and space on the hdd .. plug and play, the rest is unnecesary crap

The ps3 can't do party chat because of the lack of ram according to sony.

PS3 has 2 X 256 = 512 RAM

all I wanna do is get a better graphics card or processor, I already have 8gb of RAM
-
@beatalls Wrong thats Windows XP Windows 7 requires about 512 megabytes

@SnoweyMan111 Despite choosing so, I don't need to use today's hardware to explain how it's not fast memory. GDDR3 setups from the time of the release of the Xbox 360 were already up to twice as fast as the memory the console used. For instance, the one on the 7800 GTX 512 (54.4 GB/s) and the one on the X1800 XT (48 GB/s). Also, before the release of the PS3, the X1950 XTX (64 GB/s, GDDR4) and the 8800 GTX (86.4 GB/s) were already available.

@NewLynxChannel It was, now it's not though. He should point out the clockrates regardless, it's important.
GDDR5 wasn't in existence at the time. What you have to think about is that the "next gen" consoles were released a long time ago now. They were surprisingly efficient for their time. Of cause they diminish in performance over time.
I don't see how you can know so much and still don't get what I'm saying, if this didn't clear anything up, further discussion is pointless.

@SnoweyMan111 Today, DDR3 RAM can achieve up to 57.6 GB/s (DDR3-2400 on triple-channel setups) and can be used in large ammounts, while GDDR5 memory setups used on graphics cards, rarely less than 1 GB, can easily surpass 100 GB/s.
Compared to that, I don't see how 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM at 22.4 GB/s as used on the Xbox 360 is "high speed".
There are a few things he forgot...
1. A PC also had an operating system, which with Windows 7 eats away 1 precious GB
2. RAM also had a speed, that 2 GB in your PC can be much slower then that in your PS3, which can have huge consequences!

@beatalls true. But for someone like me who has 8GB of RAM, i can spare 1.5GB of RAM for my OS. And my RAM runs as 1600MHz, so its rather fast IMO. I will however, give credit to the speed of the PS3's RAM. It is very fast, but i still dont like that it has so little.
