  • I would not say 'training to be a hobo." just getting back to basics. It never fails, look at any time in the U.S that the economy has ever been as sketchy as this, people always tend to go back to basics and roots. Gardening, making their own things, etc....To me, this is just a more basic, and simple and cheap form of "camping" but the bonus us, you get to learn basic primitive skills like "fire making, tool making, trapping...etc

  • grab a large trash can liner and wrap the bedroll then you have a moisture barrier to set down plus if it rains your bedding will stay dry...just an idea i use

  • You sound a lot like Thomas Lennon of The State. Just sayin.

  • @FreeTalkLive buy a dictionary

  • @FreeTalkLive "hobo" is a status if you like as opposed to a practise.... most hobos are homeless compared to the budget bushcrafter

  • It seems that people are training to become a hobo. Where do you draw the line between "bushcrafter" and "hobo"?
