@otherworldtrader1 That's a highly debatable topic seeing that before 1939, German technology was not really that much more advanced than what the British or Americans had. It was during their desperation that they began to develop new technology (not near perfect tech, I might add).
Engineering is a VERY extensive subject and comparing nations [mechanical] engineering methods is like coke vs pepsi.
If not for the German engineers, someone else would have simply come up with it.

@SaucyJake Your post remind sme of the US air force's cigerette ashtray in supersonic jets(up where you have to have oxigen), and the US Army's $600 dollar clawhyammer. Don't forget that without German Intelects help It's doubtful American would be superor today. it was a race between the russians and the americans to see who got the best german brains just as the war was ending. Had Germany aited 4 yrs I think we would all be speaking german.

@unrealassasination German Mechanical Engineering from my observations tends to needlessly over-complicate and over-engineer a lot of technology. The V-2 took so much time and effort, only to have an accuracy of 2-3km within target. Many VWs until recently were german garbage that had many mechanical failures.
US medical engineering, for ex, is superior to german medical engineering. It's all a matter of perspective.
