I chose to use the capo on fret one because if i were to attempt to sing it on capo two i would not be able to sing it - mayers voice or infact any male voice is much lower than a woman's - i can not physically get those low notes out. And singing an octave higher than mayers on capo three would sound too high and whiney. Everyones voices are different and they each have a certain peak. I used capo one because it was sufficent for my voice.
