this video's alright.. not exactly the most impressive thing. But it does the job considering these are made up from photos.

Best one's the sniper in the ghillie suit which is from my film about a couple of snipers, these are all test screens for my movies (except the last one which I made today for fun and it didn't turn out so well :(

Yeah, the idea's not intended to push too many boundaries but from 2D photos it works out alright

Photos are just offset in Z space and camera moves closer and further away

  • how to make the static particle in trapcode particular ? I worked , the Version is 2.0,so the name is "t2_Starfieldstatic1" .but the "t2_Starfieldstatic1" is not static! ,so if don't used preset, how to do make the static particle? thx!

  • @crab720 Starfield static isn't static for the first frame because it moves all the particles out. Just simply move your trapcode layer a few frames forward

If it's still moving I'd take a look at your composition camera, it will probably have something to do with it

  • Hey man, what did you use for the floating dust effect? Is it just a texture or a video? I've been trying to find an effect like that and I have no idea where to begin searching. Thanks for any help you can give.

  • @Metzgermeist I used trapcode particular and just use the "Starfield static preset", put a blur on it and put a wee bit of depth of field on the camera

It adds to the whole parallax effect, which is probably why it works (I've seen sky sports adverts doing the same.. I think it was sky sports anyway.. sky HD, something to do with sky TV anyway)

  • ok this was fucking amazing and inspired me so much. fuck this was well done. do you know what this is called because not much comes up for "virtual photos"

  • @bidybo bullet time might work better in searches. On videocopilot tutorial #46 will show you how to do this.

an inspiration of mine was the Phillips carousel advert, you can find it here on youtube, it's mind blowing
