Anyone one of us today could stare up at the sky and wonder how it all came to be, write a book about what you think. and who knows after hundreds of misstranslations, and rewritings, it might control and manipulate 100's of millions of people as well.

The problem with saying this temple is 12,000 years old or that the Earth is a specific age is that the dating methods have been shown to be inconsistent. For example radioisotopes. So this temple could be younger than 12,000 years old and so could the Earth we don't really know.

For those making the biblical connections, MANY lines of evidence demonstrate that the Earth is billions of years old, not thousands. These Turkish ruins, astonishing and beautiful as they are, do nothing to change those scientific facts. If you believe in magic men in the sky, Jewish zombies, and the literal truth of ancient documents written down hundreds years after the "events" they describe, no amount of science will change your mind. So let's just enjoy the cool ruins!
