  • It's a WR. I just removed most of the enduro stuff to lighten it up a little. Now I'm thinking about putting it all back on and adding a dual sport kit to try and open up some additional riding areas that are available in our area if your bike is "tagged".

  • Nice vid mate I enjoyed it. Just tossing up if I buy a 250F or a 450F :S I would prefer the lighter 250 but would like the extra HP and longevity the 450 would provide?

  • @Senninha1960 I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it has proven to be very reliable. I've gone through a couple of air filters and change the oil on a regular basis. It's still got the original chain on it and i've only had to adjust it twice! Could be because the 250 doesn't have enough power to stretch it! Just kidding, it pulls great. You have to do the recommended mod's though, just like on the 450. Good luck with your choice and thanks for the comments on the vid.

  • Hey Dan, it's Jeff, David's little brother up in Washington. Looks like a great day in the woods! Nice job on the editing. One of the best I've seen. If you are ever up this way, let me know and we can get out on some NW trails. Better yet, bring my brother up and we can all go out!

  • @jeffreylharley Thanks Jeff! I would love to make it up your way and try some of those mountain trails, and bringing David along would be great. We'll start working on some plans to do it!

  • My 04 WR is still running hard.

  • Very nice video! I'd love to see some more WR 250F videos!

    cheers

  • Isn't that the YZ250F?

  • @diamondbows There are some minor dif's. The YZ number plate has a different mount at the upper triple clamp than the WR. I used some cable ties to secure the plate at the upper triple clamp. The front hub is different from the YZ's because of the speedo cable. The side number plates are a little different also to make room for the radiator burp bottle (not found on the YZ) and the bulkier muffler on the WR. The WR frame also has some mounts for charging system components. Hope this helps!

  • @diamondbows I removed the headlight assembly and the computer to lighten up the front end a little. The electric starter is still there. I kick start it unless I'm tired, which means I use the starter a lot! Dealing with the computer and speedo wiring was the biggest pain, it's a wadded mess behind the front number plate. I also removed the coolant overflow tank. The WR decal is the stock item. I'm putting a white Acerbis kit on now for a different look.

  • Great vid!!! what's the tune called?

  • The video is good, but the music is shit. I mean come on... if you must include music, at least use a drum and bass track - DNB actually goes well with riding videos.

  • Cool vid!! I used to have a 2002 Wr250f. I loved that bike. I ride a 06 Crf250r Now though :)

  • cool video, my uncle just gave me a 2001 wr250f, he summerged it underwater so i got all of the water out of the bike, changed the oil and stuff, then i figured i would need a new spark plug because the whole bike was summerged underwater, but i couldnt even get to it to see if it was getting any spark becuase its like 4 inches down into the head. do you need a special tool or something? i looked online and everything and i still couldnt find it. PLEASEE HELP!!
