Sheriff Bill Gore took the oath of office for a four year term on January 4th, 2011. Sheriff Gore was sworn in by Presiding Judge Kevin Enright. During his speech, Sheriff Gore noted how challenging the past 18 months has been. From the death of Deputy Ken Collier to the spread of the swine flu at county jails, to the cases of Amber Dubois and Chelsea King and the Escondido Burn Operation. Sheriff Gore praised all the employees of the department for their hard work.
