Idiots. When this movie was released the democraitc party led the conservative movement. Bob was taking at shot at the fools who support conservative dogma: communist witchhunts, purges, war profiteers, segregation and dixiecrats. Bob had good reason, many of his friends were targeted by the redbaiting witch hunts that inflicted hollywood. Some of his friends lost jobs and careers. 60 years later and conservatism is still alive having found a new home with the republican party.

Hmmm, Senator Joseph McCarthy, responsible for the communist witch hunts was a republican, sure enough. So if Bob Hope was against these witch hunts, why would he be poking fun at Democrats? And the war profiteers that you mention, probably WWII or Korea were at that time, Democrats. Yep, the old party ideology switch. You liberals try like hell to push that falsehood. Sorry, but I have a problem with bullshit when I hear it.

And yes your correct, Bob Hope not only favored the witchhunts but personnally executed hollywood commies and all the war profiteers were democrats whom went on to become gay and lesbian atheist flag burning anti gun abortion doctors. Don't be so hard on yourself. You just made a mistake, but you can correct that mistake in 2012. Sorry to hear you're paying so much for gas. It's only about $1.80 a gallon here. The Iraq war is all but over and I do hope your combat wounds heal well. As for the recession that started under a democratic controlled house and senate in 2006, it looks like it's more than doubled, with way more to come, thanks to the anointed one.
