Shakespeares play, Macbeth explores the murky regions of the soul; between wishing evil and doing evil. This production focuses on the relationship between the aged warrior Macbeth and his beautiful 14 year old wife. Desperate to prove his vigor on the battlefield and in the bedroom, Macbeth suffers a medieval mid-life crisis as three mysterious sibyls work to convince him of his invulnerability as his greedy wife seduces him into murdering his way to the crown of Scotland.
Directed by Colleen Stovall and featuring Skye Whitcomb as Macbeth and Meghan Bode as Lady Macbeth. The cast of 22 professional actors brings to life the bloody world of ancient Scotland. Costumes by Nancy Haddon and Stage Combat direction by Joey Costello.
Shakespeare in the Park Miami is modeled after the highly successful program in New York Citys Central Park as it presents original productions of the works of William Shakespeare in South Floridas Parks, Free of charge.
