Memories of Manteno State Hospital
In memory of my late aunt Eileen who was a long time patient at Manteno State hospital, in fact she died there. I have memory of one particular weekend - my first wife and I went to Manteno to pick her up for an extended weekend visit. While with us she had chance to see two of her grand nices - have the chance to hold the youngest in her arms. It turned out to have been her one and only chance, as Jennifer, who was that baby, died a short time after of crib death.

My dads youngest brother lived there for many years, the nurses & staff did all they could at it's peak in the 1950s.

There are no words to describe what you have created. This is very heartfelt to me since i lost my aunt there as well. She was in there for 18 years. She also died there. I was just in the remaining buildings last month and it was not a pleasant experience. So sorry for your loss. I was upset because of all the filthy grafitti written all over the place. This video is stunning. Thank you.
