If anyone's trying to make this with 1.0.0 and are finding the redstone just spills to the floor rather than landing on the slabs, move bottom water channel up one block. That way the items don't get pushed by the fences moving sideways. There is sometimes a lost item, but it's much reduced.
So if anyone else tried to build this and was wondering why the water channel won't fit at the top, its because he adds a space in between the pistons and doesn't make note of it.. So at the bottom it should be Piston Space Space Space Space Piston. So just add an extra space between pistons at the beginning and you're good to go.
@upbeatanime I haven't tried it yet (working on another project) but the way I see it you wouldmake the water stream at the top empty into the bottom of the next elevator. since the elevators dont have to be timed with each other you could use the same clock and run redstone for each. This would also allow you to put the clock and lever set-up anywhere you wanted. ps. I was told the max height was 12 for each elevator not 16.
@wynn4578 how? like make water stream top empty into stream bottom? i guess you are right, but then the 2+ elevators will only go 15 high since it will drop down one. this might no longer be practical, especially with powering it all.
now fence have smaller hitboxes, the items fall onto the piston and glitch out, replacing the fences with slabs will help alot
