Portal Adv18 Speed Run

Portal just got released yesterday!

This is advanced map 18 (not the normal one with energy balls). Don't watch unless you want to be spoiled by this solution.

My first speedrun... so much can be improved. I'm using a few tricks I've discovered here, but mainly they are the same trick: portal leaping. You step half-way into a portal, shoot a new portal, then back out of it if you can to get to the new destination.

Anyway! Have fun with Portal! I'd love to see other people's solutions to this map as well.

Wow, good job. It took me about ten minutes to do that challenge; I didn't know that you could shoot a portal while still in the portal and not get booted out of it.

What's your comput specs? Because I have a fairly good computer, and I have to run Portal at 640X480, and the portals look terrible - when there's not exit portal there's just a cheap gradient. :(

Fairly good computer as in..?

I do have a 8800GTX Nvidia with Quad Core intel... :) I'm also running 1920x1200 but I force fraps to capture at half size.

i saw a guy do this is about 10seconds, he jumped and shot portals like a pro
