RAIN

Rain

What does rain sound like?
How far is that sight?
Can I taste its gentle whisper?
Cool mist in sultry night?

What song can it sing?
A sky of tears its rainbow makes
A sonnet I cannot hear
A fire, I cannot bare

What does the rain fall upon?
Clinging naught unto its vacant heart?
Who will collect her ransom now?
Who will release that hunger?

Apart with no reason
Gentle like a wisp
I do not wait
For your spring anymore

What does the rain sound like?
Now that its thunder waits?
Awaken sweet desert
Awaken now!

Clouds and their silver linings
Do not have a choice,
And sometimes we don't either,
As in our lives.

What say you?
To Rainbows and their end?
They May be an illusion,
But our dreams may not be.
