why do I have to have a company in order to use this?!?!

@MrRockyProductionzz: If Fusion tells you that VMware Tools is not installed, you can install Tools after Windows boots. Go to the Virtual Machine menu and select "Install VMware Tools".
We talk about this more in our article here: kb.vmware.com/kb/1003417. We have another video in that article and here: youtube.com/watch?v=o_JI_wTkWr

@Doomrater1000 When exactly in the VMware Fusion installation process are you being presented with this message? Maybe you can take a screenshot and send it to me in a private email? I will have a look at it and will provide you with some instructions and information afterwards.

DOES THIS RUN VHD FILES???
pd3331 3 weeks ago
@pd3331 It will not run VHD files as they are a Microsoft virtual machine disk files. You would need to import/convert them into a VMware Fusion virtual machines in order to run them in VMware Fusion. This is covered in the VMware Fusion Documentation which can be found on our website.

@VMwareKB What file type does it need?
pd3331 2 weeks ago
@pd3331 VMware virtualization platforms use our own file formats. The virtual machine configuration files are .vmx and the virtual machine disk files are .vmdk
