im not an expert...sure its a spear...a stick that you throw as a weapon. on the other hand i think its "officially qualified" as a dart

it was used further back in history than a hundred years it predates the bow and arrow

Nice job man. Try making your feathers out of duct tape. You just line them up, sticky side to sticky side and trim them to the shape you want them. Also, you want your dart to be heavy on the tip end, so try doing that with some copper tubing and some glue-on points.
