I just learned that Paul Benedict had passed away on December 1st at the age of 70. Yet another familiar face from the early days of Sesame Street has left us.
RIP Mad Painter, keep painting those numbers in the Great Beyond. :(

He should have given her a rag to dry off and then asked her on a date

How about that? It's Rizzo!

@ericberner I doubt it.

@afriendofbean I think you're right, 20 seemed to be the upper limit in early Sesame Street episodes, IIRC.

At 0:36, I wonder why did the painter pointed out the "4" he painted to the woman where sometimes I'm sure he tries to keep his painted numbers secret and doesn't want anyone to see what he's done. (I know he was more shy in the number 11 painter skit).

Did the Mad Painter almost get lucky?

@afriendofbean Those parents must have believed in the saying, "Garbage in, garbage out."
Are you sure that's Ms. Channing? The number 3 painter skit lady looked much more like her. Good skit... I wonder if they originally meant for the water to wash the 4 away?

It's the same women in ALL the Painter segments. She is also in Painter # 7 and 11.
