When I was a student at UCSC 30 years ago, the banana slug would come onto the field slowly with plastic wrap trailing behind. It is NOT supposed to be dancing around without saran wrap, cellophane.. this is just NOT RIGHT! The mascot was saved for a reason and this is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! The fight was pointless.
