Seein' My Father In Me - A Tribute to Dad

My dad is my hero. He raised my brother and I to be good, responsible men. He always made it to our school functions, and occasionally missed a few meals so my brother and I wouldn't.

Dad was actually one of the biggest factors in my search for my mother. He saw it was important for me to try and find her and gave me every lead he could think of so I could accomplish what I had set out to do.

As the years passed, I began to notice more of him in me. And when mom & I got back in touch, one of the first things she told me was how much I sounded like dad.

I'm proud to be his son, and equally proud to be named after him and my grandpa.

Wow....this struck a chord with me. I lost my dad almost a year ago. I'm still not over it. It still feels like yesterday. Thankfully, a mirror lets me visit him from time to time. Everyone (my paternal grandmother especially) tells me how much I'm like him. Its the biggest compliment! Thanks for posting this!

my dad nd i fought many times in our life. but just a year before he died we grew close. i am blessed bc of that time. i look back and see how though we fought...he stood by me. good luck in your life sir. may God richly bless you and yours.
